COVID-19: An Important Update – KFC UK & Ireland

By on March 24, 2020 0 36 Views
Yesterday afternoon, we decided, together with our franchise partners, to begin closing our restaurants in the UK and Ireland to help protect the wellbeing and safety of our teams and of our guests. We committed to doing this in the right way and have been focussed on closing responsibly – preparing our restaurant teams, helping our suppliers and minimising food waste. Our restaurants are all now temporarily closed until further notice. It was not a decision we took lightly, but it was in the best interests of both our incredible teams and all the fans that love our chicken. Speaking of chicken, we serve fresh, quality food, so we’re working really hard to prevent as much going to waste as possible. We are finding safe and efficient ways to distribute any unused food – which will include working with our longstanding Food Donation Scheme partners to make sure we’re giving to those who need it most. This is already underway in cities across the country and we’re so grateful to our partners for their continued support. To all of our teams who have been working under such trying and uncertain circumstances, we thank you deeply. You’ve been amazing. To our loyal members, we’ve not forgotten you. We’re currently extending any rewards that expire in the next 12 weeks by an additional 12 weeks. We look forward to welcoming you back into your local restaurant soon. Until then, stay safe and look after each other… we’re looking forward to winging our way back to you soon!
